About

I grew up in Charlottesville, and my wife Anne Marie and I have lived in Albemarle County since 1990. We raised our family here and sent our kids to Albemarle County Public Schools. I am invested in this community and want the best for students who are currently attending our schools. In the fall of 2023, I was appointed to complete one year of Katrina Callsen’s term on the School Board representing the Rio District, and I’m now running in a special election to complete that term. Here are my credentials at a glance.

  • Graduated from Charlottesville High School and Virginia Military Institute

  • Science Educator for 39 years (ACPS for 29 years)

  • 11 Years as ACPS Science K-12 Instructional Coordinator in Central Office

  • High School Coach for 19 years

  • Retired Commander from the Naval Reserve Intelligence Program

  • Currently serving on the Albemarle County School Board representing the Rio District.

With your support, I will continue to help create meaningful change for the students, teachers, and families of Albemarle County.
